Your proof photographs
I offer three types of proofing to suit my client’s needs. In all instances the point of proofing is to show example images to the bride and groom, before most of the post processing work has been done to the photographs. Proofs in any guise are useless for printing or copying. The images are generally watermarked. Once the images have been chosen a lot of work might still need to be done to the images before they are ready to be sent to the professional lab for printing
Online proofing
Online proofing is increasingly popular. Online proofs are low-resolution small files, which are uploaded into an online gallery. The bride and groom simply let me know what images they want from the set to be included in their album
CD proofing
I use the same files as for the online proofing service. The images are copied onto an optical disk. The images will be unsuitable for printing, and are example images only
Photographic proofing
I can produce small prints in a flipbook. The prints are yours to keep, but the image size is small, so the prints really only serve as a catalogue of the full sized prints that are available. Producing the complete set of photographs involves printing and mounting what are often 100’s of photographs in a flipbook. This process is time consuming and adds a few days to the time it takes to make the proofs available for viewing
