Posed wedding photography
Posed photographs really fall at the formal end of wedding photography. I am happy to mix up the traditional poses along with the relaxed candid type photographs. Even if you wanted a candid reportage style for your albums, you will probably find that older relatives prefer to have a traditionally posed photograph framed for display
I am used to working with couples and groups, and have experience of dealing with the chap who hates his photograph. Although I might not be able to improve the look of uncle George who refuses to wear a suit and shave, I am experienced at bringing the best out of the family group. You and your guests will have spent ages perfecting all your outfits, and traditional bridal and group poses will show off the efforts made
It is a great idea to write down a list of the posed shots you are after. Although I will as a matter of course photograph most of the usual group photographs, I will have no way of knowing if you need an obscure photograph: e.g. a photograph of a second cousin with your mother etc. To that end it is also a fantastic idea if you assign a member of the family (or each family) to assist me in organising the groups, as they generally will know all of the names of the people required for your group photographs. Often the best man or the ushers do this
